Week 8

Mr Luke is due to be in Sunway next week. I should get the 3D map started. By the way tried using Vray and the results were absolutely fantastic.... coming with a price to pay. A single image in 800x600 rendered in Vray on my PC takes about 6 hours. Don't think it would be wise to render in Vray anymore. Cubes = 6 sides = approx min 2 hours per side. Gonna look into Mental Ray then.

Mid Term Break

Not much of a holiday as it was only for a week. Spent most of the time hanging out in forums asking for opinions and how to get things done. Main concern right now is to create the 3D walkthrough and which render to use. Should i go for Vray? or Should i go for Mental Ray? Vray seems like the better choice...

Week 6

Concept demo got pushed back to this week. Gotta get it prepared. Went through the concept demo with Ms Jaya. Still very vague about how to get most things done. Gotta research during the break next week.

Week 5

Got back my proposal and needed to add some more function to the system. Redid the proposal and resubmitted. Got it back and it was approved after Ms Sara looked through it before sending it to Ms Megan with her approval. Time to get to work. Now where can i get those softwares ...

Week 4

Currently in the 4th week of the semester. Found my answer to my previous question. As the 3D furniture system is already existing after getting hold of one from IKEA. Set my focus to the 3D walkthrough system and came up with ideas and scopes. Passed up proposal and hope it gets approved soon.

Week 3

Been thinking all these while. Discussed the ideas i had for my final year project with lecturers. Shortlisted the ideas into final 2 to choose. A 3D walkthrough or a 3D furniture and layout tool.Which should i choose?

Week 1 and 2

Starting of the semester, did not do much while waiting to come up with an idea for the final year project. What should i do? Been thinking of something that is new to me would be a learning experience. Ideas anyone?
